ABOUT NOWADAYS

Nowadays is a research project that aims to understand how climate change affects people from black and ethnic minority groups in London and Leeds.

BACKGROUND

It is thought that people from black and ethnic minority groups in the UK may experience risks from climate change that are different to those that affect other groups.

This project explores the impact of climate change on daily life by speaking to people from black and ethnic minority groups about their experiences.

In particular, Nowadays asks whether action taken to manage climate change can reduce racial inequality.

The project considers these issues in relation to three of the big challenges we face because of climate change:

Nowadays is recruiting people from black and ethnic minority communities in London and Leeds to take part in the study. Learn more about taking part here.
